Adventure time!
We are excited to introduce the 2024 Explorers Program! Our Explorer will take on a new adventure everyday. Taking trips to parks in the ares, local aquatic centers, hiking, fishing and so much more.
Explorers will enjoy two distinct experiences this summer. Some weeks will feature a Thursday Sleepover at Camp, while others weeks will have a Thursday Late Night 8:30 pm pick-up.
Explorers Late Night at Camp! Explorers will still experience the joy of staying at Camp past normal hours with the introduction of Late Nights at Camp Sturtevant. The group will enjoy a big event during the day followed up with a campfire, field games and dinner at Camp. The night ends at 8:30pm.
Late-Night Weeks: June 13, June 27, July 25 & August 8
Thursday Night Camp Sleepover! It’s a great introduction to the overnight Camp experience in a familiar setting on-site at Camp Sturtevant. The group will enjoy a big event during the day followed up with a campfire, paly night games and dinner at Camp. Then sleep in Riverside Lodge Bunkhouse where campers have access to showers and running water.

Let’s Go Camping
Leadership is designed for our teen campers. Leadership camp is a natural extension of the Camp Sturtevant experience, recognizing the need for more adventure and more challenge. Camp provides breakfast, lunch and snacks every day and dinner on overnights.

WOW Laser Tag & Campfire
One Late Night at Camp
Focus: Natural Science
Explorers will take a several day trips during the week. One trip will be to Mead Wildlife Area, where they'll dive into the basics of archery. Following the adventure, a refreshing hike and lunch await.
The highlight of the week is an exhilarating game of Laser Tag at WOW, followed by a cozy campfire and night games at Camp Sturtevant. Wrapping up the week, the group will venture to Big Eau Pleine Park for a day filled with fishing, hiking, disc golf, and swimming. It's bound to be an unforgettable week of exploration and fun!

Focus: Wellness
Explorers will take a several day trips during the week. One trip will be to Mead Wildlife Area to enhance their archery skills and learn the fundamentals of fishing. Additionally, they'll receive expert instruction from a Personal Trainer on the basics of wellness and exercise equipment, ensuring a well-rounded experience.
The highlight of the week is a thrilling tour of Woodchucks Stadium, followed by the excitement of attending a game. Wrapping up the week, the group will return to Mead Wildlife Area for more outdoor adventures, capping off their week-long journey with unforgettable memories and new skills.

One Late Night at Camp
Focus: Career Exploration
Explorers will take a several day trips during the week. One trip will be to visit NTC and gain valuable insights from their "E-Sports" staff, who offer scholarships to individuals interested in pursuing post-secondary education. They'll hear from the Head Coach and current athletes on the significance of teamwork, leadership, and accountability in sports and beyond. Additionally, the group will venture to Mead Wildlife Area to enhance their archery skills and explore the ancient art of Atlatl.
The week's highlight is an exciting Escape Room adventure, followed by a cozy campfire and engaging field games at Camp Sturtevant. It's sure to be an action-packed week filled with learning, fun, and camaraderie!

Camping Trip to Minocqua
& Zip-Line Experience
Trip: Camp in Minocqau & Zip-Line
Monday, July 8th: Monday's focus will be on local governement. Leadership Campers will take a tour of City Hall, Counsel Chamber, Marathon County Courthouse and the Wausau Police and Fire Department facilities. During each tour, the group will learn about the services their Local Government provides to them and their families.They will participate in groups activities ranging from creating and passing a City ordinance to a mock trial. No overnight on Monday.
Tuesday - Thursday: The group will enjoy three nights in a cabin at our Bachuber Property in Minocqua, WI. During their stay, they'll have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities, including swimming, fishing, hiking, field games, and exploring the charming City of Minocqua. Campers will participate in plenty of activities, campfires & memories.
Thursday's Big Event Northwoods Zip-Line - The highlight of their adventure will be an exhilarating zip lining experience at Northwoods Zip Line on Thursday, July 11th. It's set to be an unforgettable journey filled with outdoor fun and excitement!
Friday: Travel back to Camp Sturtevant Campers and join the Day Camp activities, with regular pick-up time.

Explorers will take a several day trips during the week. One trip will be to visit Mead Wildlife Area, where they will enhance their archery skills and explore the fundamentals of animal tracking. Additionally, they will receive expert instruction from a Personal Trainer on the basics of wellness and exercise equipment, promoting healthy habits and active lifestyles.
The highlight of the week is a captivating tour of Lambeau Field and the Packers Hall of Fame, offering an immersive experience into the history and legacy of the Green Bay Packers. It's sure to be a week filled with adventure, learning, and unforgettable memories!

Camping Trip to Green Bay & Bay Beach Amusement Park
Monday, July 29th: Monday's focus will be on career exploration. Leadership Campers will tour NTC where they will receive information about the Programs NTC has to offer. No overnight on Monday.
Tuesday - Thursday : The group will begin thier journey to Green Bay, WI. During their 3 night stay, they'll have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities, including swimming, fishing, hiking, field games, and exploring the charming city of Green Bay. Campers will participate in plenty of activities, campfires & memories.
Campsite will be Bay Shore Campground, just outside Green Bay.
Thursday's Big Event Bay Beach Amusement Park - The highlight of their adventure will be a visit to Bay Beach Amusement Park, promising thrills and excitement for all. It's set to be an unforgettable experience filled with outdoor fun and exploration!
Friday: Travel back to Camp Sturtevant Campers and join the Day Camp activities, with regular pick-up time.

Polito’s Pizza Workshop &
One Late Night at Camp
Focus: Career Exploration
Explorers will take a several day trips during the week. One trip will be an educational journey to NTC, where they will have an opportunity to tour the facility and gain insight into the diverse programs offered.
We will be doing a Workshop at Polito's Pizza. The kids will learn how to make their own personal sized pizza, by making their own dough, tossing, placing ingredients and baking. They will enjoy their delicious creation afterwards. Gluten Free options are available, but the workspaces may have traces of gluten. If there are serious gluten allergies, other options will be available.

Explorers will take a several day trips during the week. They will have the opportunity to learn from a Personal Trainer about the fundamentals of wellness and exercise equipment, promoting healthy habits and physical fitness.
The highlight of the week will be an exciting trip to Sawmill Adventure Park, where they'll enjoy trampolining and mini golf, promising fun and excitement for all. Wrapping up the week, the group will engage in E-Sports activities at NTC, rounding off their week with camaraderie and friendly competition. It's sure to be a week filled with learning, adventure, and memorable experiences!
