Our competitive Woodson Y Northern Swimmers swim team provides a caring environment to develop the sport of swimming.

• The younger a swimmer starts out on our team the better.
• We have had 3 year olds on the team, the only requirement is the ability to swim 25 yards unassisted.

• Technique Development: Mastering proper freestyle, backstroke, and an introduction to breaststroke techniques.
• Stamina Improvement: Increasing endurance and comfort in the water.
• Team Etiquette: Understanding and practicing teamwork and collaboration.
• Sportsmanship: Learning the values of fair play and respect for others.

Our team is a YMCA and a USA sanctioned year-round swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities.

Emphasis is on instructing swimmers in proper competitive techniques. The goal of our team is to provide opportunities for every member to reach his/her potential at each stage of their development.

The YMCA swim team gives swimmers of all ages the chance to improve swimming skills while building friendships and healthy habits that last a lifetime. We have one team for all Y pool locations in Woodson YMCA Wausau & Aspirus YMCA Weston.
