Fitness & Exercise
Our Wellness Centers feature state-of-the-art equipment, including ellipticals, treadmills, bikes, and more. Additionally, our expansive Strength Centers offer numerous free weights and weight machines. The Y has the equipment you need for a great workout.
At the Wausau location we offer an additional North Wellness Center that is specifically for 55+ Members and Members recovering from injuries.
Court Sports
The Fieldhouse and Program Gym at the Wausau Branch, along with the Gym at the Aspirus Branch, provide schedules for all Members to enjoy. Open Gym hours are available daily at both locations, offering dedicated times for basketball, pickleball, family gym sessions, or larger group exercise classes like Zumba.
Additionally, both locations feature racquetball courts for your enjoyment.
Group Exercise
Explore our diverse range of Group Exercise Classes crafted to keep you inspired and engaged every day of the week! With over 80 classes available weekly, we cater to everyone, regardless of your fitness level.
Challenge yourself with high-intensity classes such as Cycling, Bootcamp, Strength & Conditioning, HIIT and more.
Take it a little easier in our low-impact classes like Gentle Cycle, SilverSneakers Circuit, Flexibility & Strength and Zumba.
Indoor Pools
Dive into a multitude of aquatic activities at both our North and South Pools at the Wausau Branch, as well as the Pool at the Aspirus Branch. Enjoy the water with lap swimming, water walking, water exercise classes, and open family swim time.
Our pool schedules are available online with up-to-the-minute information about what's happening in our pools!
Indoor Walking Track
Stay on track with your fitness goals regardless of the unpredictable weather conditions outside, our indoor walking tracks offer a safe and weather-proof haven for you to take confident strides towards your health objectives.
So, lace up your sneakers and enjoy a dedicated space designed to keep you on track, regardless of what the elements may bring.
Wausau Branch: 15 laps = 1 mile
Aspirus Branch: 12 laps = 1 mile
Mini-Care
Take that much-needed time for yourself to focus on your health and well-being. Whether you're walking on the treadmill or participating in a group exercise class, rest assured that your child is in the safe hands of our Mini-Care.
Mini-Care is available for ages 6 months to 6 years and is included with a Family Membership. Reservations are required with Member Services prior to drop-in. Parents must remain at the YMCA.
